Two questions are presented in the research. The first set of questions focuses on the way masculinity is presented in mass media. Indeed, it would be advantageous to explore the transition for explicit barbaric masculinity which was praised some time ago to metrosexuality which is considered to be a characteristic feature of the modern men. The second set of research questions puts emphasis on the manner in which women are described in mass media. Thus, the image of a women was been used in art for a considerable period of time; that is why it may be useful to analyze the evolution and pay much attention to the approach which is engaged by the contemporary mass media. This will show the attitude towards women that is shared by the contemporary society. Since the research addressed the perception of the entire society, it may not be logical to limit it to a particular group of people. That is why I will engage people who belong to different age groups in order to gain a better understanding of the extent of influence. In addition to that, I would place a specific emphasis on teenage girls who are thought to be most vulnerable to the impact of mass media in terms of formal of the image of an ideal woman. A couple of research methods will be used in this research: the questionnaire which consists of 13 questions some of which are opened and some of which are closed; in addition to that semi-structured interview will be conducted, but they will be facilitated exclusively in case a person is willing to participate in one.
