The control theory applies to the suicide topic. This theory involves the idea of two systems that are either internal controls or remote controls that work against our tendencies to deviate. The theory talks about the weak bonds societies have towards each other. The stronger the bonds, the less a person is going to deviate from social norms. If the bonds are weak, the person tends to deviate from social standards and engage in ill social activities like crimes (Falk, 2010). Strain theory also applies to both of the two topics; this theory states that some social structure within the society may push a person to commit a crime. The strain is in two which are Structural where a weakness in the authority can drive a person to commit a crime The individual strain is how a person on her experience has struggled to find ways to satisfy his or her needs. Labeling theory is the theory of self-identity and individuals behaviors. States that people perceived themselves the way they are labeled by other persons.
