Nike is one of the biggest marketing company in the United s. The company deals with designing and selling athletesshoes and others costumes. The company great out of a small company, but has grown too big it is selling its products to over 190 countries. The company slogan ‘Just do it’ has transformed the company marketing strategies in a manner that have never been done before in the business world (Ethics in International Business). Nevertheless, Nike has always been accused of unethical behavior in the way it outsources it product.

For over two decades now, Nike has been accused of exploitation, child labor and condoned unhealthy conditions in the working place where all its products are manufactured (Ethics in International Business). The strategy of outsourcing it designed goods is out maximizing profit while disregarding the plight of the laborer. This is unethical conditions that ought the company being prosecuted to uphold ethical business conducts. Nike engages in unethical business practices to edge it competitors in the market share.

The company faces severe competition from Adidas, Puma and other companies in China and Europe (Forbes). Therefore, given that the market for athlete’s costumes attracts many producers, Nike thus prefer to have it products manufactured in countries that have low cost of labor. Moreover, the company runaway from the strict laws that are set out in countries such as the U.s and majority of European countries. I conclusion, unethical business practices are not healthy for a competitive market because it exploits some part of the supply chain in the production, transportation and marketing businesses.
