It is, therefore, necessary to adopt effective and appropriate digital identity management techniques. The research entails an overview of digital identity management situation in Ghana with great emphasis on the airline industry. This results from the fact that the airline business is one of the most sensitive sectors in the Ghanaian economy. The research paper has an introduction with a brief review of the Ghanaian airline industry and the impact of information technology in this area. The paper further analyses the current trends in digital identity management in the airline industry, in the country.

There is more emphasis on the digital identity management process. The paper further discusses the various types of identity management systems available in the world and identifies the digital identity management systems available in Ghana. The paper reviews the research methodology with reference to the digital identity management in Ghana. There is a clear presentation of the research results, with the respective analysis and discussion. The report finalises with a brief review of the research process.

The research paper finalizes with a list of reference or sources in IEE format. Ghana has the most efficient and organized airline industry in Africa. The sector, however, faces challenges in identity management since it is slowly adopting the digital identity management system. This has performance in accordance with the regulations of the world Aviation authorities, which emphasizes to counter terrorism and other aviation related threats by entity management. The current increase in terrorism cases targeting the aviation sector across the world suggests that the aviation sector in Ghana should comply with the regulations set by the World Aviation Authorities.
