This essay discusses the implications for the professional base and the likely problems by this “too fast” a revolution. According to the research findings, it can, therefore, be said that it is worth noting at the outset about the methodology that there is a danger of bias in peoples and academics view and it is a wait and see the situation to actually observe digital architecture at its zenith and then judge its revolutionary value. Finally, both the primary and secondary research has raised concerns about the ability to measure “revolution” in terms of digital architecture and how this is holding the digital industry back from being recognized as a discipline in its own right.

The researcher states that for the future qualitative research is needed in this area to assess this issue in greater depth. This dissertation aims to explore how technological evolutions have not only caused social, political and cultural revolutions in the past but continue to do so especially in the field of architectural design. Essentially it is evident from the modern conventions of architecture that the traditional gap between drawing and building is non-existent now and throughout the paper, the researcher has explored the idea that digital design and digital fabrication are now evident of “seamless production” rather than creative transformation all of which was the conventional perception of architectural practice.. It has been argued academically that "Digital fabrication and computer numerically controlled (CNC) technologies" have affected "tectonic" architecture over the past several decades thus causing a change in the significance of detail and the design process ,in my view seems to be lacking the depth of architectural detail and art.

It has also been said and this research observes that the modern architect lacks the accountability as a craftsman anymore and his role has reduced to a "draftsman". The New CAD and CNC effects look promising but this increased mass manufacturing philosophy of design methods, financial complications and over specialisation have killed what was artistic or "deep" about architecture. My research paper culminates in the conclusion, that among other recommendations, there has to be a way to bring the detail and its implications on the cultural and social meaning of architecture back into the authority of detailing and craft back to the architect.

At the same time my dissertation has also explored how the application of current computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies to modern materials, can result in expressive and well-crafted details thus promoting a culture of innovation. The dissertation has also explored the role of CAD in this regard that whether by utilizing digital and manufacturing technologies in a critical innovative manner traditional materials can be resurfaced through careful digital transformations.

The dissertation then goes on the evaluate the role of CAD and the current digital fabrication technologies along with their applications to architectural production. The argument culminates that yes there can be a
