The assembly process is critical to evaluate the cost price of the product. The modifications within the assembly process are essential for optimization; the intent of modifications is to reduce the production cost, increase production capacity, increase production efficiency and fast-track the entire system.


Such strategy will prevent reduce man hours; reduce production wastage / recycling, and component of loss cost. The assembly package shall be designed such that it has desirable margin to increase the production runs, and expedite the production processes. The assembly package should have provision to maintain quality standards, and the quality standards can be maintained through numeric checks i.e. the temperature range, the weights of parts etc. The assembly package shall be such that the manufacturer has the margin to increase the capacity, and control the production run-time without any significant production downtime or interruption. The assembly unit should offer "transparent control system as well as an integrated product documentation system and quality control". The certain special characteristics associated with the performance of the assembly unit includes "integration of memory units into the product carrier; such technology identifies each product and product component and records all production processes". The export of the compiled and recorded data of the production shall be consolidated and exported through "Ethernet connection or a serial interface to internal or external databases" (John, 1999).
