Writing about a Picture in the 1800s Photographer of the image is not known but the production was donein the 1850 to represent a man who was a butterfly collector. The image is associated with George Eastman house, which is a leading photo gallery producer and owner. The image of the photo is taken with the medium of daguerreotype, which presented photos that are clear in the eyes of the viewers. The factors of the use of daguerreotype medium of presentation of the photo made it to have well balanced lighting so that it is not exaggerated with a lot of silver halides as seen in the calotype photos.

This has made the image to look very unique and admirable when a person views it. Due to the daguerreotype medium of presentation, the photographer has been able to balance the coloration so that he can imply the difference in color of the clothes of the man in the photo and represent the direction of the source of light. The photo represent the time in which it was created because of the fact that it has many characteristics of the pictures of the time. These characteristic are the color, the environment and its decoration as well as the shape of the photo which are unique for it.

These aspects of the photo make it to identify with the kind of photos that were represented in the times of its making because it was a conforming to almost all of them. For example, because of the limited technological development, the photographer used black and white color to represent the image he wanted to present. The environment of the main image represents a time in which decoration of the environment was an important part of life of the people. In addition to the color and the decoration, the shape of the photo is representative of the growing development of the photography because it has trimmed edges and this makes it unique from the other photos.

In producing the photo, the photographer wanted to represent the kind of life the people of the time lived as well as the things in which they engaged themselves. This can be evident from the way the man in the photo poses in a beautiful inner environment in which there are decoration on the wall and the bench that is directly in front of him. This image is possibly showing the photographer as a person who was interested in the things that were happening in the society of the time. For example, the photo shows a man who has an open book on his hand and some other lying on the bench in front of him showing that he was reading.

This was a very common things in the 19th century when most nations wanted to conquer the world with knowledge. The photographer seem to be one interested with some issues to do with decorations because he has emphasized on the coverage of the things that hang on the wall that were a representation of it. The process of taking the image represented in the photo affected its outlook because the production has represented the technological level of the time. For instance, in the process of production of the environment and the image of the man represented, the photographer showed differences in the coloration.

Through the production, one can identify that the photo of the man represent a white person wearing a white shirt and a black coat in a partially lighted place. This image is representing the things that a person has to indicate in the process of representing the photo to the people. Through the production process, it is possible to determine that the image that the photo does not have exaggeration as can be seen in other media of production where there are colors that make the photo shiny. The production of the photo is made good by the manipulation of the shape of the space for the photo that has made it to look attractive.
