Extract of sample "American Arts"

An example of Gillian's work is ‘In Celebration” produced in 1987. Martin Puryear worked on his sculptor using wood, rope, and hide. Puryear ‘s sculpturing has often employed Post minimalist style to make sculptors that attract the public. Americans celebrated the painted work of Keith Haring in the 1980s. He produced simple figures, which portrayed dynamic patterns and illustrated social issues.

In the 1990s, David Carson became an influential artist following his contribution to graphic arts. Carson has contributed to the magazine industry by designing graphics in topography. His work elevated him to be among the most sought graphic designers in the 1990s. Painters May Stevens, Peter Saul, and Erika Rothenberg are some artists who did impressive work in the 1990s. Other’s artists who did impressive work in the 1990s include Charles Berg a printmaker, cartoonist Herbert Block, sculptors Luis Jimenez and Duane Hanson, and a porter Robert Arneson. These artists used the abstract technique to produce artwork, which rocked society in the 1990s. Kiki Smith a sculptor produced great sculptures in the 1990s. Some of her work includes Bloodpool 1992, and Lilith 1994.

In the 2000s, artwork in America continued to attract public interest. This acted as a morale booster to artists who continued to paint, create cartoons, mold, and sculptor, and perform another discipline of art. Jennifer Linton used cigarette rappers and other materials to create her artwork. Some of her work includes Salomé – 2002 and Catholic Girls in 2005. Victoria Van Dyke is another women painter of the 2000s. Her work “I Want to Be An Amazon”– 2001 portrays great techniques in painting. Maurice Woods has created great work in graphic design in the 2000s. He does his graphic work through his computer to produce artwork, which reflects the events in society. Artists in the 2000s have mixed materials to come up with aesthetic paintings (Robertson & McDaniel 125). For instance, Philip Argent's paintings in 2000 use diamond and acrylic to produce his visual artwork.

Graham Caldwell is another artist in the 2000s that has designed and produced great paintings in America. Some of his work includes Aquifer 2003, Elizabeth Tears 2002, and Extended Conjoined Ring 2003 among others. Lauren Camp is an artist who has produced various paintings in 2000. His work includes Just Swing, Rhythm Sticks, and Bless the Child among others. Another renowned artist of the 2000s is Nicole Cohen who has produced various paintings in the 2000s. Her contribution in painting includes the mixing of various materials to illustrate mood and events in society. Her work includes The Living Room 2001, My Vie en Rose, 2003 among others. In summary, artists in America today have explored various techniques to convey their work through painting, sculpturing, and graphic design.
