? Visual Arts al Affiliation: Visual Arts Introduction Visual arts are the creations that we can look at, for instance, drawing, sculpture and painting. The art forms are primarily visual in nature although the definitions should not be strictly about visual because they can also involve other artistic disciplines like performing arts and conceptual arts (Esaak, 2011). There are some rats that are included in the visual arts for instance the applied arts like industrial design, fashion design graphic design and interior design. All these arts serve the purpose of decorating the laces they are fixed. They affect our cognitive and, this shows that there is a relationship between visual arts and psychology (Esaak, 2011). According to Esaak (2011), visual art is something that is created to please the senses. Fine arts are derived from visual arts. Most people believe that visual arts and all types of arts are not intellectually demanding because they do not need a lot of effort to come up with them. This is not true because they require people to employ their psychology ability so that the product of the artist is appealing to the observers. Physicists are always placed before the painters because they are believed that they do not use their might in coming up with the designs they make (Efland, 2002). There are psychological questions that so many people need to answer because they feel that arts are inferior. Visual arts are economical apart from the fact that they decorate the rooms they are placed. Many artists have galleries in which they exhibit their works for customers to buy. By doing this, they get an income which sustain their economy (Sullivan, 2009). Governments have put efforts to integrate arts in schools because they boost the creativity of the students. Many young people enjoy abstract art because it is not directed towards achieving anything in general. From the abstractness, of art, life is artistic and, no one can doubt the fact that the cosmos has been created in an artistic manner because appeals to our eyes (Efland, 2002). Nature has its way of appreciating art because so many people have created museums whereby they keep artistic items where people pay a fee to have a look at them. This shows that they enjoy art and derive satisfaction from just looking at the items (Esaak, 2011). There is an assumption that artists are intellectually inferior which needs to be overpowered completely. Platonic ideals are highly abstract meaning that human beings can derive their satisfaction for abstract things (Salmon, 2001). Artistic things can at times be a source of mystery bewilderment and puzzlement because they represent the ideas of the artists. Many people feel that the artist has not finished his work but, he ought not to be judged because a work of art is never complete (Sullivan, 2009). For instance, Rene Magritte’s painting of 1963 of The Telescope. In that drawing, we see the incompleteness of the drawing but, beyond the abstractness there is a puzzlement of the drawing. The total darkness in the drawing and yet the telescope drawing confuses the observer but, the artists require bone to engage in a highly intellectual quest. Abstractness is an achievement of imagination and the observer needs to infer meaning of the visual arts in relation to the images he had seen before plus the present features of the drawing (Salmon, 2001). Arts education is affected by three things, which are the, tendency to thing that arts are a source of entertainment, elective options and frivolous occupations. They are accorded the position of cultural ‘nice’ but, they do not have a platform to exercise their ability in the education sector. They miss the seriousness the sciences are taken with because people feel that they do not need to have arts as a priority because they are needed in the leisure times. There is the lack of awareness of the art subject because many people still feel that it is a leisure subject (Salmon, 2001). It is imperative to conceptualize the importance of art instruction. Students have a perception that art is a collection of precious thing which are sheltered in a museum. This isolation makes the students to treat visual arts with a lot of serious in that when they are presented with other forms of arts, they feel that they are mere joke that needs no attention of the individuals (Efland, 2002). Visual arts have become more important to the economy of late than they used to be in the past. Visual arts are economical because they are integrated with all aspects of doing business. They represent the all items of trade in marketing so that it is imperative to associate culture and business through the use of visual arts. Most of the fine arts are created in a way that they have symbolic meaning, which makes consumers, associate what they need with what they see (Efland, 2002). Most of visual arts are made in the way the artists wants them to be like but, they do not convey the same meaning as the one the artists wants to convey. Many observers have their perceptions about the meaning of the visual arts. This approach where they make different perceptions is the richness of art. Many visual arts are a source of foreign exchange which is earned by various countries when the tourists visit their countries (Salmon, 2001). Art is embedded in the social institutions and the cultural societies. Visual arts are used as signature to major cities in the world and, apart from this they serve as foreign income earners for the statues. Many tourists want to associate themselves with these visual arts for instance the statue of liberty in the United States of America. President Wade of Senegal is the recent head of state to come up with the tallest statue in the world. It depicts an energetic man holding a child in place on its arm pointing the heart of Dakar and, on the right; he holds the waist of a frail of a woman. The three are emerging from a volcano (Aljazeera, 2010). The observer of the statue is the one to make an observation that will direct him or her on how to interpret the statue. The proponent of the statue was president and he focused on the ability of the colossal to become a central focus of the world (Efland, 2002). Statue of Renaissance in Dakar, Senegal As a result of having the renaissance statue, there will be the annual conference meeting of artists from the whole world meeting in Dakar where a lot of guests and the infamous personalities will be in attendance. This statue is a blessing to the country (Aljazeera, 2010). The president is optimistic that it will become an income earner for the country. This is an indication that visual arts can be a source of unification. The annual general meeting of artists from all over the world will meet in Africa which makes Africa a content that is emerging from the volcano of contempt as indicated by the renaissance statue in Senegal (Aljazeera, 2010). Most artists prefer to have their exhibitions where the sell their art products. They are able to sell the visual arts at the prices they are comfortable with which helps them to have enough money to make their lives a possibility. The government supports the young people who are willing to commit their expertise in making art products in the form of paintings, drawing sand sculptures because they enhance job creation in their countries. Artists are self-reliant because they use their talents to earn a living. They become entrepreneurs who mobilize their resources in terms of money and time to exploit opportunities that come the way. Many people are identified as artists by their teachers who help to nurture the talent up to the point of acquiring independence in the profession (Sullivan, 2009). Art odes not focus largely on the creativity but on the uses of the piece of art. Many people use art visuals to decorate their houses or even to trade them. Their uniqueness makes them a commodity that brings money for people buy the visuals for, various reasons. The fact that one can make money out of the visual arts has led to commoditization of talents whereby artists do not just pose as talented individuals waiting for shows to exhibit their works but produce visual arts, which they take, to the markets for selling. They have even opened sites on the web which they market their products. This strategy attracts many clients who get back to them by calling their phones and ensuring that they make profits (Efland, 2002). Visual arts are used for communication by non-governmental organization as well as the governmental ones. In the current wave, of HIV/ AIDS visual arts have been used to send warning messages to the public. When people see the attractive visuals, they get interested to read and in the process they get the information set out for them (Efland, 2002). If an artist is interested in earning living using visual arts, he needs to be sensitive to the social codes of the society. When one comes with paintings that depict the society with some literature about the society, he gets more clients who are interested in buying his products. Visual arts are used for psychological purposes because they relate to cognitive. They are placed in the gardens where people go to rest in that when people look at the visual arts they find peace welling from their insides hence forgetting the pain in them. Visual arts are used to remind people of the previous kings and remarkable leaders. Many governments make statues for their heroes so that the countries or regions learn to associate with them (Salmon, 2001). The government capitalizes greatly on the art projects by ensuring that they tap the resources in the visual arts. They create museums where people pay fees to go and have a look at the artistic things preserved in the museums. Many institutions created by the government focus on training people on how to become better artists so that they join in the industry of visual arts (Sullivan, 2009). Many developing countries make a lot of money using the talents of the artists because art is closely associated to culture. For instance the aborigine of Australia has their art, which make tourists, from all over the world to visit their country. Visual arts are important in the creation of computers. The fonts that windows use in the computers were a resource from the calligraphy writing which help us to have assorted fonts on the computers (Salmon, 2001). Conclusion Visual artists are not just confined to the traditional perspective where they can only carve, draw or pant. Visual arts are now practiced by the use of computers where more refined products are accessed through the use of accessories in the computer (Sullivan, 2009). Sculpture is the distinct description of visual art where a lot of physical practice and high level of creativity are involved. It is imperative to involve visual arts as a curriculum in schools so, that creativity is boosted in the learners.
