This would, in this case, be of benefit to the community at large, since they would restore their past in society. On the other hand, the return of these masks would act as a continuation of the rituals in society. Knight indicates that the wearers of the masks would inherit powers to make rain or wealth in the society (1).

The repatriation of the masks can be discussed from a negative point of view in the essence that the Hopi people were not conversant with the value of these masks and at times would trade them for food. The storage of these masks was also questionable. The traditional people could not store the masks like the museums making it difficult to store them for a long time. With the museum's storage, it would be easier to have future generations access these masks.
