The biggest point that she makes without specifically answering a question is by saying that Chinese artists see themselves as artists first and Chinese second. Another interesting point that she makes is that tradition is often thought of as a bad thing because of its tendency to be rigid and outdated, but in actual fact tradition is something that should be celebrated. I happen to agree with all the points that Ni Haifeng makes about culture. She provides a refreshing view about how culture should be viewed and to discover one’s own culture by experiencing another.
