Their identity has further undergone a tremendous transformation. Hence, the use of photography is critical in defining the unique identity of women in the society and women artists (Gresh, 7-14).
In the recent times, women artists especially in the area of photography have been considered as successful globally. Despite the gender prejudices being leveled against women artists and women in the society there is the existence of emergence of creative women visual artists and photographers who engage in telling the story of women in the society through their various works. In relation to the plight of muslim women various criticism arose in respect to the symbol of the veil especially in the Middle East and North Africa. The use of photography is therefore crucial in the sense that it depicts the subjection and plight of women while telling their story to the whole world. The story of women is told through various cultural orientation and mode of dressing among women in different cultures.
