Paul Klee and Picasso Art was always a depiction of reality. It may be mysterious or explicit reflection. Abstract art is also a way of depicting the reality; but not its surface levels. Abstract art reveals the reverse side of the objects and aspects of reality. This paper would make an attempt to interpret the famous words by glorious artists – Paul Klee and Pablo Picasso – through the analysis of their artworks. In the book of "Creative credo" by "Paul Klee", there is a quotation that states "Art does not reproduce the visible rather, it makes the visible" (Klee).

Abstract art never shows flowers as flowers, houses as houses etc. Mainly abstract art addresses issues that lie deeper than objects of material reality. Paul Klee was in a broad sense a transcendentalist who accepted that the material world was standing out among numerous realities open to human consciousness. His applications of color, pattern and miniature sign systems all address his endeavors to utilize art as a window to this philosophical rule ("Art Story Foundation"). Klee challenged conventional limits differentiating visual art and composition by investigating another expressive, and to a great extent theoretical or graceful dialect of pictorial images and signs.

Letters, arrows, musical documentation, old pictographs, or a couple of dark lines remaining in for an individual or question habitually show up in his work, while seldom requesting a particular interpretation. The artwork that was chosen for the analysis is Winged Hero (1905). This artwork depicts a surreal humanlike creature with one wing. The artist wrote himself on the picture "Because this man was born with one wing, he believed he could fly. His attempts, of course, have only resulted in crashes and a broken left arm and leg" ("Art Story Foundation").

The odd creature could extremely well speak to a sort of self-portrait of the averageartist of the 20th century, ceaselessly seeking after his maximum capacity while over and again battling against open incomprehension or aloofness. Thus this picture absolutely suits to the quotation – it does not depict something people see; yet it makes visible existing aspect of life. Pablo Picasso said "Art is the lie that tells the truth". Any person who saw Picasso’s works, can doubtlessly state there are no thing depicted that ordinary people may see anywhere in usual life.

Yet it can be said it is lies. But still Picasso shares extremely real things, for example through his Guernica. The artwork depicts the act of devastating invasion by Nazi to the peaceful city Guernica ("Pablo Picasso"). It is evidently an abstract art. It is full of symbolism. Of course, the invasion is not about the bull or the horse; not even about an eye in the lamp. Thus it is a lie. But the sufferings are real. The eye refers to God, who sees everything. Dead people and those running away are real.

Mother, who is crying above her son, is real. This way, even the picture is a lie, it tells truth. Both artworks show aspects of life that are not explicit. Abstract art needs analysis and often contemplation to reach its depth. The meaning can have several meanings. Anyhow, the truth is revealed to become visible through the view of the observer.
