As compared to CCD cameras, tube cameras produce excellent images in regions of low lighting especially at night. This camera is expensive in comparison to CCD cameras, which are cheap; with its disadvantage is its loss of resolution. This means that the image resolution must be produced which is costly of the vertical image in the sequence. Although tube cameras have resolution issues, they produce sharp footage. The F23 camera had the advantage by capturing visual effects. F23 cameras also can take illustrations at an angle of 360 degrees, and no shutter is required.

This technique was useful in scenes that required the use of machine guns, in visual gun shot flashes. CCD cameras used in the film were relevant in action and controlled space segments. An advantage of exceptional footage was displayed. CCD cameras have the advantage of producing superb color superiority and feel. CCD cameras are heavy and use high voltage. CCD cameras can be used in bright light for instance during the day as compared to tube cameras, which can only be used with low lighting or night for the prevention of damaging the tube.

Pan and scan This is the professional technique of cropping an image to the standard wide screen specifications as per compliance. The sides of the wide screen images are cropped. This technique is used in slum dog millionaire film to quality control the background. This film was used on the streets of India with the use of an S1-2K camera, which needed professional eminence power. The camera used had sufficient latitude for lighting, footage, and contrast. The S1-2K camera used consisted of a high power lens and zoom effect.

Pan and scan method was relevant in scenes where the main actor flashed back his life in the slums of Mumbai. The camera was hand held, making excessive footage be taken. Most scenes in the film were taken using the S1-2K camera; therefore, pan and scan method was appropriate for this film to make it of standard definition proportions. Pan and scan aim is to focus the significant image features. Significance and measurement of 100 IRE IRE is an element used to compute amalgamated video signals.

100 IRE is important in that it determines black and white visual color range of a video signal. In relation to the film called speed racer, 100 IRE brings out the extraordinary visualizations. 100 IRE helps in bringing out the animation world into life, makes the animation world seem real. High end high definition video cameras brought out the exaggerated color visuals, where deep super focus was used. The widespread video standards used to measure 100 IRE include NTSC and PAL. In both standards, frames are broadcasted each second, due to the electronic signal relayed.

Butterfly, Rembrandt, and half lighting Lighting patterns portray a connection between the light source and face of the character. Butterfly lighting is carried out by placing the light source above the face of the character, focusing on the straight face direction. A butterfly shaped shadow is formed below the nose of the character. The animation characters in the film avatar were lean, with high cheekbones; revealing the butterfly pattern. In Rembrandt lighting the light source is placed higher and auxiliary to the sides, that is the right or left of the face.
