The inclusion of images of three kissing couples of mixed race and sex with the words, "Kissing Doesn't Kill: Greed and Indifference Do," had a literal and a deeper meaning. The literal meaning meant that kissing of diverse couples cannot lead to AIDS but the urge of the couple to advance the kiss and lack of faithfulness leads to AIDS and thus death. The images of the diverse couples conveniently represent the fact that everybody is subject to this epidemic. On the other hand, The “WTO is biocide” piece of art passes a literal meaning all are given equal chances in life at birth but the level of individual’s success in life is not universal but depends on self-drive, individual character, determination, and maximization of available chances. The deeper meaning of this piece art conveys a personal message to the way of life. It passes the message that one’s success depends on their methods of survival where only the strong willed survives. However, the inclusion of the words, "Corporate Greed, Government Inaction, and Public Indifference Make AIDS a Political Crisis," carried the deeper meaning of Aldo Hernandez artwork. It sought to expose the political influence on government institutions that put a blanket to those living with AIDS.
