Compare and contrast How does Clark’s book differ from Arrighi’s? In the book, The Chinese Cultural Revolution, PaulClark introduces the readers into critical thinking about the fundamental reasons of understanding of the Chinese Cultural Revolution (Paul 23). After years of study of the Chinese culture and comparing it with how it got influenced by the western culture, Clark describes that a lot of change occurred. Paul Clark for instance writes about how Chinese folk dance and other high cultural dance movement became added to the modern dances.

In contrast to Arrighi Giovami’s Lineage of the 21st century, he majorly focuses his research on consequences and causes of some of the inequalities in status, wealth and power of nations that were going to occur. The book offers theoretically and historically insights on the current configuration of the some of the world system (Giovanni 34). Arright in his book explains that China nowadays claimed to be an alternative development path for western capitalism. In addition, he says that it got potential to contribute towards having a more balanced plus peaceful world.

In comparing the two books, Paul Clark majorly talked about the cultural change experienced in China due to western influence while Arrighi explain China’s influence in changing the existing world systems.In accordance to my opinion, Paul Clark is a better writer since he manages to bring out the truth regarding the Chinese cultural change compared to the optimistic research of Arrighi on china taking part in changing the world system.
