Whilst the monkeys inhabit Jaipur’s region of “Pink City,” they entertain people outside the temple. It is evidenced that the people in the documentation find the monkeys amusing. This amusement results from the fact that the monkeys are a reminder of the Hinduism concept of the “Monkey God.” Hindu’s, as is common knowledge have a tendency to humanize certain animals in their religion and accord them respect hence the peaceful existence between the two species. The lesson that can be drawn from this movie is that monkeys, in actuality, are not different from human beings.

The monkeys in question have a set lifestyle that they follow in their daily existence much like human beings. Furthermore, they physically ail, as illustrated in the movie just as human beings. They also face the challenge of defending their territories and maintaining a sense of security like their human counterparts. In summation, monkeys of all the species are the most semi-human. This movie follows the life of a Chimpanzee, Oscar, after the death of his parents. The narrator humanizes the chimpanzee in a bid to express to the audience the turmoil and emotions that young Oscar experiences.

An old male Codger structures the movie around the adoption of Young Oscar. This is an uncommon occurrence in the wild. A common occurrence would have been Oscar’s adoption by a member of his species and more than likely within his bloodline. The story, as the documentation states is authentic. This would mean that most of it is based on actual occurrences. However, one cannot overlook certain exaggerated aspects like the depiction of emotion, which the chimpanzee cannot regale. As such, the storytellers assumed such aspects.

The setting of the story is in Ivory Coast’s Tai Forest. This allows for a wider canvass through which the daily lives of the chimpanzee species can be observed free of interruption from humanity. The focus is primarily on
