MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL APPROACHES a) Management Objectives b) To develop a web-based application and support services for customers to enjoy video games at their requests. c) To provide customers with flexible order and re-order of video games d) To avail gaming operating platforms with popular gaming systems and different languages. e) To establish a user friendly, all inclusive search for games by customers f) To provide for games with more enhanced features for registered customers b) Project Controls This is ensured by collection, measurement and dissemination of information regarding performance by assessing measurement and trends consequently effecting process improvements. This will result in good management of time, costs, quality, change, risks, issues, suppliers, communications and procurement. i) Monthly status review on suppliers Appointment of suppliers XYZ group and adventurer series group will be done through formal process. Though the suppliers are known, they should be vetted and a statement of work using project management tools will aid manage scope. A contract will be issued to the vendors detailing the scope of work, work definitions, responsibilities of parties, performance criteria and the terms and conditions. This will be a fall back plan if things won’t go well. Milestones will be provided to show what and when are the expectations to be fulfilled. The deliverables will be dated and available for review. ii) Project profile worksheet The services and products from the mentioned vendors will be controlled. This will involve reviewing, service acceptance from the vendors. Reviews will be done against pre-defined criteria and based on the supplier contract; approval for payments will be done. Purchase orders will be issued to the suppliers with detailed description to be measured against on arrival. iii) Quarterly reviews on progress monitoring, communication and control There will be needed to keep a constant watch on every communications taking place. A communication plan will have messages communicated at the right time to the right people. The activities on the communication plan will be monitored and controlled to ensure completion at the right time. The project will rely on feedback to solve any complaints from the staff and suppliers e.g. changing Riley Rocket in purchasing for Mandy Maxer over differences with suppliers and lack of protocol observance. iv) Management and Change Control Theses action is necessitated by a change request as a result of outputs of project work processes. Any small changes do affect the project scope, budget and schedule. The project will develop a method to identify potential and actual changes to the project baseline address through prompt management of changes. The initiators of change will be reviewed in the change request form evaluating the type of change requested. The factors necessitating the changes could be video gaming customers’ demands, technology among others. The impact of these changes will be assessed against scope, quality, schedule and costs. A decision will be made if the changes will proceed by assessing cost benefits in project completion while still in position to meet the objectives. A record of such a decision will be made through documentation of requests. Approved changes will be coordinated and integrated in the entire project. The systems process must be used to incorporate aspects of project and quality management. Research and data analysis initiates the project systems design, to be followed by listing of inventory requirements. Procurement and supplies does supplier selection, monitoring and management. Stores and inventory are important in development of pricing structure while operations involving gaming designs and customization. Work breakdown is meant to subdivide the work into small manageable packages that can be estimated, planned and assigned to someone.
