Extract of sample "The Profession Of Accountant"

I want to major in accounting, as it has been a thats interested me for many years. Figures always took precedence over facts for me, even inschool! I volunteered as the Assistant Accountant with Pactrans Air & Sea International and getting to work with accounts hands-on was a great experience. I knew then what I wanted to pursue higher studies in. My primary focus, after completing my graduation, would be to pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination (UCPAE) and become a qualified accountant.

Armed with my CPA, I could go ahead with my desire for further studies in International Business. Im good at maintaining inter-personal relationships in my own life and can see it assisting me in building up an international, loyal clientele in the future. In preparation for my professional future, I look forward to volunteering and doing internships also and ready myself for the economy of the future. I dont believe in leaving any stone unturned when it comes to fulfilling my personal and professional goals.

And working to become a reliable, effective accountant has been an ambition for years now. Progressing academically as well as taking the time to work hard at related volunteer work will definitely pay off and help me reach my goal. Being an international student, I can speak Mandarin fluently. I love to travel and have been lucky to experience Asian and European culture up close on my travels through the continents. If I get the opportunity to be an exchange student for a year, it would not only mean satiating a deep need for traversing new worlds, but also the chance of learning to grow and adapt in an unknown environment; a prospect that thrills and excites me.

I am currently the Communication Officer at the Taiwanese Student Association (TSA) in Seattle Central Community College. I have been working in TSA for over a year in college, I have planned many events such as the Lunar New Year Celebrations, the Moon Festival, and various inter-school activities. I enjoy music as well and was a representative for my high school wind band, in the final year. I am familiar with the renown Binghamton University enjoys globally and would consider myself honored to be a part of it and its sixty year old legacy.

The fact that you have students coming in from a hundred countries is very encouraging to international students like me. I believe I can fully utilize all that your prestigious University has to offer to its students and give back perhaps, as Nehru put it, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially.
