Extract of sample "Reflection on Writing the Essays"

The first essay was about The Border Patrol which was a little awkward but soon I realized that this is not unusual because the first sentences are typically the hardest to write in an essay.

I believe this question relates to the other question of having a feeling of accomplishment because, without the instructor's feedback and coaching, I would not have found ways to improve my essay. For example, I was able to overcome the challenge of organizing my ideas through the feedback given by doing an outline. This way, organizing my thoughts and ideas became relatively easier unlike before when my writing had no direction. This also improved my first paragraph because it sets the tone of the entire essay. I just have to practice writing more essays so that I will get more comfortable writing them so that they will not only sound “scholarly” to qualify as a research paper but also to be able to write them faster.
