Thich supposition leads us into a state of total fixation. It is common knowledge that Buddhists stress that the best mode of accomplishing inner serenity about the death of our world is coming to stipulations. The five practices that Thich points out make it possible for us to recognize the vulnerability of life on this planet and to begin now the work to bring about actual change in our global ecological. Additionally, Thich points out that we need not the energy of terror and/or irritation, but the power of understanding and compassion (Hanh 12).

Furthermore, Thich recognizes the fact that those people who are doing inhumane things such as destroying the universe, themselves, and society are not doing it deliberately. They are doing this as a perfect way of escaping deep-seated pain and isolation. Such people need to shown love and be given help as opposed to being punished. This means that we have show these people love and consideration. On the whole, spirituality connects us with all our sisters and brothers on the globe as we all share similar to air, earth, sun and water.

He hints that the well being of the earth is affected by the choices we make such as sitting down to eat. He goes ahead and points out that the choices of food we make to it, the way the rate of the car of cars on the roads has increased, and the continuing destruction of the earth’ resources endowed by nature will result into the final end of our civilization. This Thich argues is something the people should put into consideration (Hanh 14).
