People in different countries now are closer to each other than ever before due to such interaction. This interaction, however, be it in trade, education, socialization, politics or even communication doesn’t happen without some sort of effects. People’s lifestyle, ideas, and view of the world are affected. Where there is a wide range of positive effects of globalization, a variety of negative effects also exist, particularly on the local culture. Globalization has negative effects on culture in many aspects, but the greatly affected ones are food, traditions, and social values.

Thesis Statement: Globalization is a unanimous communication between different nations with diverse culture and religion to stand on one platform for cognitive development. Topic Sentence I: The exposure to foreign cultural goods frequently brings about changes in local culture, values, and traditions. According to The Levin Institute report (n.d), globalization has encouraged production and distribution of goods and services to people generating access to products that were otherwise difficult to get.

However, such transition has affected the viability of locally made products as well as those who manufacture them. Due to globalization, a transition is observed in the celebration of local festivals- Eid, Ramadan, Art festival where local artists display their talents.
