While ‘ahabah simply means love, he Hebrew root, ???—pronounced ‘oh-HAYV’—can mean “love, lover(s), friend(s), beloved, liketh, lovely, or loving” (“Blue Letter Bible Lexicon” 2011, pgh. 1).
