The PowerPoint Micro software program was used as an assistant to present images highlighting the topic's key points while helping to keep the text minimal. In the first lesson, different micro-organism pictures were presented on PowerPoint and linked to discussions of how micro-organisms are widely diverse in shapes and colors even within the same classification. The students were asked to check off the picture that corresponds to the micro-organisms that they can see under the microscope (appendix).
