Agency in San Jose, Crane Center College: Agency in San Jose, Crane Center The Crane Centre is an agency in San Jose that provides community service to the entire population of San Jose. The agency is located in Lenzen Avenue, Suite 1800, San Jose CA 96126, southwest of the building and aims at providing effective HIV and AIDS testing and counselling services to the vast population in this town (SCCgov, 2013). I learnt about this clinic from a friend who had acquired services from this institution.

After an interview with Mr Walter Williams, a counselor in the Public Health department, I learnt more information regarding the operation of this clinic. I first discovered about Crane Center Clinic after one of my friends recommended that this was an effective institution with adequate skills in HIV and AIDS treatment and counselling (SCCgov, 2013). After this, I met with Mr Walter Williams one of the senior members of the staff in this small community. Mr Williams works as a counselor in the Public health department and is responsible for the psychotherapy of the patients of this institution.

Crane Center provides services in HIV and AIDS testing and counselling services to the people of San Jose. Its mission is to provide free, anonymous and confidential HIV and AIDS testing and counselling services towards the service of the community. The organization has made its awareness to the Universities and the general San Jose Community through various channels. This health care unit has designed flyers that it distributes to the community as one way of advertisement. The flyer contains information on the merits of the hospital and the methods that the organization uses.

From the flyer it is possible to point out various features of their services (SCCgov, 2013). The health unit provides convenient services that any member of the community can access wherever and whenever they want. They employ human friendly methods of testing by using a mouth swam as the test sample rather than blood. The services are provided within a period of less than 20 minutes as a strategy to remain time efficient. The organization also creates awareness through online media to attract customers from the diverse community.

One reason why the clinic has remained a favourite in the San Jose community is because it offers free VCT services to the community (SCCgov, 2013). The priority of the health unit is to contribute to the formation of HIV free society and to develop a better environment for all in the society. The organization encouraged all the members of this society to be tested by providing a free service for everyone. Specifically, Crane Center has capitalized in encouraging same sex partners to undergo HIV testing.

To attract them, the clinic offers free home test kit for homosexuals who visit them for testing. With free, efficient and timely services, care Center has managed to promote HIV status-aware society. To achieve efficiency, the clinic has developed its structural framework in an adequate manner. The clinic has numerous testing and counselling offices to cater for the large population that visits this society. Since services in this institution are free and no eligibility criteria are demanded, the hospital provides experience a high inrush of clients.

Consequently, the organization needs more offices to take care of the clients. The organization has adequate staff to ensure that service is delivered in the most effective manner. Lastly, the organization operates from 9:00 am to 4:45 Pm, during which all the clients are attended (SCCgov, 2013). Crane Center relies on its project income to fund its operations. The health clinic extends its services to over 300 students every month and the organization continues to target more students in the near future (SCCgov, 2013).

As the organization develops awareness in the San Jose community, it expects to serve over 500 students each month as part of the organizational objectives. The clinic has the capacity and the personnel to serve a greater number of clients in the San Jose society. The organization is an ideal health care provider for the 21st century health environment. One admirable feature of the organization is the time conscious culture that is deployed in the clinic. In Crane Center, you do not have to queue for services or waste your time while waiting for a long serological test.

The testing procedure is simple and effective; a mouth swab is obtained and results and counselling is delivered within a period of 20 minutes. I would highly recommend students visit and take advantage of the services even within their busy schedules in the university. However, I would recommend that the organization adopt the internet culture to develop its awareness creation program. The organization should develop an information-concentrated website to create a better online presence. This way the organization can be able to attract more clients and enrich its community service program.
