Inc. V. Sauer" (ACHE, 2012). The case ground present considerable legal and ethical issues that provide informative lessons for healthcare. The Case unveils the scenario of Margaret Sauer's death in the hands of the Mena Medical Center (MMC); the death that the challengers thought was caused by the poor treatment environment and physicians negligence. A major ethical and legal concern presented in the case is negligence. There exists substantial evidence that Sauer's condition got worse due to healthcare providers’ negligence.

For instance, the patient required a gastro-intestinal feeding tube, an operation that never took place due unavailability of doctors. Importantly, the patient lacks basic care necessities due to lack of attendants in the hospital. This attracts ethical and legal concerns since healthcare should establish a safe environment for patients and employees (Hendrick, 2000). Although an organization can hardly guard against unexpected occurrences, healthcare systems are liable for harms emerging from preventable dangers.

Consequently, any care system has a duty of ensuring its patients safety by eliminating all risky procedures. Indeed, the performance of any healthcare system is measured by examining its efficiency in bettering the patients’ welfare. . Apparently, such a practice is unethical and develops considerable legal issues since regulations and ethics demands that organizations should engage in genuine procedures. Such a scheme provides no solution to the prevailing challenges; in fact, the practice worsens the situation.

Interestingly, physicians’ shortage is a factor that invites considerable legal and ethical concerns in the healthcare system. Shortages of attends compromise the health system since establishing favorable environment that fosters patient’s health is difficult (Gostin& Milbank Memorial Fund, 2010). Apparently, an ideal system demands a rational number of attendants; however, limited resources may fail to accord the organization with an opportunity of accessing the appropriate number of employees.

Various elements of ACHE Code of Ethics wouldconsiderably help the administrator involved in this case determine the right course of action to adopt (ACHE, 2012). Initially, the administrator needs to realize the necessity of conducting professional duties with honesty, respect and fairness to foster justifiable endeavor. This would help the administrator in avoiding unjust operations that fail to accord healthcare principles. Indeed, one must understand that healthcare procedures should avoid gain-oriented minds and adopt approaches that account for the patients’ interests (Harris, 2008).

Interestingly, the ACHE Code that demands health professionals to renounce practice thatdegrades the dignity of the healthcare management would be of significance to the administrator challenged by the predicaments in the case (ACHE, 2012). Consequently, integrity needs to be the prime guiding
