Name: Tutor: Course: Date: Inter-professional Education Patient care is demanding regard to social and health workers as well as the community at large and therefore requires all to work together to ensure efficiency. Evidence has shown that these professionals do not collaborate appropriately with families and communities. As a result Inter-professional education (IPE) is one of the education strategies that have been put in place to improve on both collaboration and health care. Inter-professional education (IPE) refers to occasions when students from different professions in social care and health care learn together as a professional exercise so as to provide consumer centered health care by cultivating mutual practice among them. Students learn from others and from different professions. This educational approach leads to greater service delivery because it changes the attitude of service providers especially in the delivery process. This inventive strategy is looked upon by health care providers as the best in enabling them formulate policies that can boost global health workforce in times when there is a shortage regarding the same. The Framework for action on Inter-professional Education and Collaborative Practice was put in place to highlight issues related to inter-professional teamwork. It also discovers the mechanisms that ensure the success of the joint approaches and summarize the proposals that can be put in place to improve local health system. This reflective assignment is meant to emphasize the identification of inter-professional education as one of the key strategies that can provide students with a variety of opportunities where they can work with other students. Different students have the enterprise of humanizing wellbeing and quality of concern and services provided to patients or clients. IPE is an innovative approach that can help tackle the global health workforce challenges and World Health Organization (WHO) convened a study group to properly air a greater understanding of healthy collaboration in a global platform. The study group provided management to members on how to use inter-professional collaboration to positively balance and to build a more flexible health workforce. This maximizes the use of resources so that health needs are effectively and efficiently met. The study group was composed of top edification, practice and chosen strategy experts from across the globe. Their credibility was not in doubt and the professionals such as doctors, physiotherapists and social workers adopted the proposals of the group in order to effectively work together so as to take good care of patients. As a result, proper implementation of the policies of IPE improves the manner in which professionals work together since collaboration involves sharing of different ideas and approaches. WHO (2010), supported the fact that different people have different strengths; collaboration of different academic professionals can therefore lead to a strong and higher improvement in service delivery. This is because it improves knowledge and skills and acquaints professionals with toolkit of resources for provision of care to different patients. It can also improve the working culture in different departments in a health facility and ensure patient satisfaction. Working together decreases errors in cases of emergency and improves the management of care delivered to different victims including those of domestic violence and those with mental problems. Understanding the roles of different health professionals enhances recognition of every professional’s skills and therefore moves the health system from disintegration to a position of potency leading to improved health systems and this ensures patient satisfaction. In the IPE workshop, participants were in different groups to discuss what the different professions have done with regard to IPE certification. Majority voiced their concerns about the planning of the next steps of implementing and creating awareness about IPE so that the different challenges facing the health sector are curbed. Promoting IPE creates many opportunities like enhancing system function. This is achieved by encouraging the organizations that do not have the required infrastructure to support IPE to build on the foundations of those that have better accessibility. This leads to a proper patient management by promoting evidence based care and research. Identification of better opportunities that are put in place by successful healthcare workers stimulates identification of best practices. Other roles if properly appreciated enhance self reflection and articulation of their strengths and identities. This encourages input thereby encouraging patient wellbeing and restructuring of poorly organized health systems. Collaboration also supports knowledge distribution and translation which in turn help health care service providers to understand what they need to do differently. Collaborations bring together different ideas that can lead to innovations, medical developments and breakthroughs that improve the quality of services provided to patients. Commercial and societal success depends on sensitivity to technological advancement and the cost and affordability of technologically sensitive means of service delivery. This implies that different ideas impact positively on the roles of technological imaging. In addition to attempting to properly implement IPE, there is ample research that is underway and is most likely to improve health care. Advancements in medical imaging make it possible to take the health services closer to the people i.e. taking tests to their homes. This benefits assurance entities by reducing amount paid for office visits and benefits patients by spending less time planning office visits and not having to go through the consequence of not seeing a doctor. Technology also helps those with accessibility constraints and inflexible work schedules in that telemedicine can help identify and treat conditions that may be menacing if delayed. CONCLUSION At a time when the world is facing problems in healthcare for example, shortage of health workers, policymakers should look for innovative solutions. The strategies adopted need to help them to develop policies and programs in order to bolster worldwide health workforce. Different evidences highlight the current status of IPE and collaboration that identify the mechanisms that shape successful collaborative teamwork and outline a series of action items that policy-makers can apply within their local health system. With all these technological advancements the patient is the one who benefits most because they make health care more personal and user friendly where patients interact with physicians through videoconferencing from their homes or nearby clinics. They also enable early detection of diseases thus enhancing treatability before it becomes untreatable and expensive. Health care also becomes absorbed into the background and daily life because it revolves around the patient as it should. Work Cited World Health Organization.
