Topic: Summary on Mercy Health Systems Company’s Profile:- Mercy Health System (MHS) is a not-for-profit organization which integrated healthcaresystem to provide comprehensive services to residents in southern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. It is the child company of While Mercy Alliance, Inc. (MAI). MHS was established in 1895 by Dr. Henry Palmer. It’s current president and CEO is Javon R. Bea, who was recruited by the board of directors in 1989. He developed a vision to create a vertically integrated healthcare system that would partner with physicians to deliver patient-focused, high quality care; provide excellence in patient care services through conveniently located medical centers; provide complementary care through post-acute care and retail health services; and offer this range of care through an integrated insurance plan. Mercy provides services that span four core service areas, including hospital-based services, clinic-based services, post-acute care and retail services, and insurance products. These four core service areas make up our comprehensive, vertically integrated delivery system, and integrated delivery is what makes Mercy unique in serving the full range of health care needs of our patients.
