This can be justified by the fact that a majority of the people belonging to different worldwide regions are suffering as well as dying from malaria. Specially mentioning, malaria has its vulnerability in the majority of areas, especially in tropical regions of the world (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, 2007). Thus, with this concern, it can be stated malaria has more vulnerability in the areas of Asia, Africa, and Central as well as South American regions. Every year, a maximum number of people i.e. approximately 350 to 500 million of them who belong to the aforesaid regions get affected by malaria. More evidently, it can be elaborated that more than 1 million children and males along with females die because of malaria (Kleinschmidt, 2001).

More specifically, the African region is recognized to be a more vulnerable place to malaria wherein the majority of the people residing within this region suffer from malaria. Moreover, in the West African region, a huge figure of children having the age less than five years die due to malaria. As per the estimation made based on the clinical reports, it can be found in the sub-Saharan African region that approximately 3000 people die every day due to malaria, out of which, nearly 20 percent are children.

It is worth mentioning in this context that a small number of children belonging to the sub-Saharan region of Africa often suffer from an acute attack of cerebral malaria, which eventually results in a quick death. At certain times, it can be found that the attacks of cerebral malaria often form the situation of coma and ultimately cause death. By the results obtained from varied clinical reports, it can be ascertained that a huge figure of malaria cases, as well as death, take place every year, particularly in the region of West Africa (Pascual, Cazelles, Bouma, Chaves & Koelle, 2008).

Malaria is recommended as one of the most vulnerable as well as common diseases in West African regions. As per the report of UNICEF, people belonging to Ghana mostly die from malaria in comparison to other diseases.
