Development of Skills and Knowledge Development of Skills and Knowledge Meeting Learning Objectives: BPL andpractical classes have contributed immensely to the improvement of my skills and knowledge in this topic. In this case, I have become more confident, and I have enhanced my ability to deal with many cases in an orderly manner, which I could not manage due to my insufficient skills at the beginning of the semester. In line with this, I can confidently handle cases related to chest pain, seizures, head injury, and other related emergency cases.

Overall, the topic’s approach of blending of practical and theory has met my expectations in an enormous way.The Growth of My Abilities:Applied paramedic practice has helped me discover my problems and weaknesses. Consequently, I have gained the ability to focus the skills and knowledge gained to improve on these problems and challenges. By the end of the semester, I had covered all the challenges I experienced. Case in point, I had a weakness in carrying out clinical assessment of some repertory and cardiology diseases.

However, the feedback I was receiving from my tutor immensely contributed to the improvement of my abilities gradually.Ongoing Areas of Challenge and Strategies to Address:The most fundamental area that I need to improve on regards the administration of drugs to patients. In this case, it is essential to understand the right drug to administer on each patient and the correct dosage. Besides, it is crucial to understand the route to administer a drug and the right time to administer the drug in order to avoid any mistake that may have a negative effect on a patient.

To achieve this, I will work with doctors in the emergency department for a period of 5 weeks in order to improve my skills in administering drugs once I resume my work. Conversely, I need to improve on the way I handled trauma patients and equipment to use on these patients. In this regard, car accidents are high in Saudi Arabia, and it is important for medical practitioners to prepare in case of such an eventuality. Fortunately, I will take a PHTLS course offered by the National Guard Hospital in order to improve on my knowledge and skills.
