He dismisses the family when he realizes that they do not have insurance (Edge and Grooves, 2005). The doctor uses tough medical to explain the condition of the child. It is unfair for the family. He assumes that Phan’s child is suffering from sleep study disease. He says that the child is suffering from OSA. The doctor does not perform tests on the patient and deduces that the child has OSA.

He hurries to attend a meeting and risks the life of the little child. This is unethical and risky for the child life. He assumes that the Phan family does not want to follow instructions. He did not know the family does not speak English (Goldcare, 2013). The doctor is ignorant to the culture of his patients. He assumes that the Waleeds family is African-American. He should ask his patient concerning their culture. This will help in medication. He is shocked when he heard the family sought the church for guidance.

It is ok in Vietnamese culture for the mother to test any medication before her child takes the medicine. The doctor thinks that the mother intentionally is taking her child medication. It is unfair for the Phan family that they do not get assistance from the doctor who seemed to be in a hurry and addressing the family in a hurry. It is evident that culture, race, socioeconomic, and ethnicity status play a vital role in families that experience the healthcare system. These factors affect the way the doctor administers his services to patients. Dr. William ignores the cultures and ethnic background of his patients. He is shocked to hear that the Waleeds and the Phans seek divine interventions from their churches. It is ok for people to go to churches when they are sick.
