This essay approves that early childhood teachers and caretakers are of great influence in ensuring that children have a proper diet. They can ensure this by letting the children have fun and learn about health at the same time. This could turn out to be enjoyable to the children and they would thereafter get so used to having healthy snacks to an extent that it influences their future tastes and preferences after growing out of preschool. It is also in preschool that the allergies of the children are discovered.

The preschool teachers should inform the parent of the child about the allergy and prevent the child from sharing meals with other children. In a situation whereby a child joins preschool when his/her allergies have already been discovered, the parent should inform the preschool teachers about the allergies, describe the various signs and symptoms that occur in case of a reaction and provide the appropriate medication required in the event of a reaction. This report makes a conclusion that the snacks provided to kids during their preschool days greatly influence their tastes and preferences even later in life.

Therefore, to ensure proper feeding habits, the kids should be accustomed to healthy snacks from early ages. This can be achieved by sweetening up the snacks, making consumption of snacks a fun process, allowing the kids to have independence in selection from a collection of healthy snacks and designing a particular zone for consumption of snacks to act as a control measure.
