Executive Summary

Advancement of technology has resulted in voluminous data in business enterprises, requiring the establishment of data centers to handle it. The establishment of these data centers requires high initial capital and maintenance costs due to the purchase of new equipment and a talented workforce. Cloud computing provides data storage facilities and computing power to users without direct interactions. Cloud computing models offer Software as a service, Platform as a service, and Infrastructure as a service. Realtech is a cloud provider enterprise that provides Software as a service allowing the business enterprise to access data storage facilities and optionally deploy Software to their clients with ease for a subscription fee. Realtech offers the public cloud bundle or private cloud. Realtech has undertaken adverse measures to ensure data security and provides compensation schemes to any data faults that may hold the profit-making of an enterprise due to interruption of service. Realtech provides SaaS cloud solutions to business enterprises allowing for a variety of workflow, data analytics, and third-party using the on-demand service payment policy scheme. Business enterprises can focus on other core activities and delegate application management and deployment to Realtech.

Introduction

Cloud computing refers to a relatively neoteric technology that avails computer system resources such as data storage and computational or processing power without direct interference with the user. Business enterprises have experienced a surge in the resulting transactional data. A need to obtain reliable data storage integrated with the security of the data has become crucial (Shakir et al., 2016). Business enterprises also need to deploy Software quickly to clients through web interactions. Cloud provides virtualize a pool of resources and allows for an enterprise to maximize service delivery without purchasing new equipment for a subscription fee. Clients of the enterprise can establish virtual machines and manage applications online. Cloud computing adopts a utility model in service delivery and includes Software as a service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Fig. 1 below indicates the continuous rise of the use of cloud services integration in the deployment of applications. Cloud providers offer Software as a service that allows the organizations to avail applications to clients remotely through the web. This allows for remote employees or commuters to access the application with ease after validating their credentials. The organization's task of maintaining server and data security is relegated to the cloud providers who charge a subscription fee. This allows organizations to save efficiently since services are paid based on their usage rates eliminating overheads such as power.

(Fig. 1) The image demonstrates the market shareholdings of cloud providers and the services that have been established for client use.

Cloud computing can is akin to renting a vehicle. The rented car belongs to the rental firm, and it is the firm's responsibility to ensure proper maintenance and uphold the good working condition of the vehicle. The individual renting out the car only has to pay for fuel and insurance rates charged on the vehicle. The labyrinthine details of fixing the broken car, buying new parts, or conforming to the law standards become abstracted and only known to the rental firm. In this analogy, the rented car refers to the action of employing cloud services. The payment issued for fuel and insurance is synonymous with the subscription fee. The abstraction details performed by the cloud providers refer to the maintenance of the technology responsible for deploying the cloud, such as servers (Varghese & Buyya, 2018 ).

Realtech Technologies Limited was founded in 2010 and grew from a computer refurbishing and sales enterprise. The organization aims to provide secure and convenient data storage, building on the expertise and experience gained over the years. The organization offers a cornucopia of services such as PaaS and SaaS. The current scale of operation can handle ten thousand online clients simultaneously. Still, it will overcome the barrier with the undergoing to plan to expound on extensive area services such as the World Wide Web. Techyrealnow is our online web portal that allows providers to issue instructions and reports to the clients and enable interactive form between the two communicating parties.

Realtech offers the option of free and private SaaS solutions to the market. Realtech provides SaaS cloud solutions to business enterprises allowing for a variety of workflow, data analytics, and third-party services on the per-user-payment policy. The data center is remotely located and safeguarded by trusted security firms. Most business firms undertake the free solutions, but Realtech offers the private solutions in which the server and storage compartments are located at a third-party provider, and access is limited to the enterprise's access control group. The organization uses fast and up-to-date technology in deploying cloud services. It offers two service bundles; the real tech public cloud and the Realtech private cloud that are implementations of SaaS. It also uses the pay-on-demand technique maximizing cost-efficiency. Realtech allows flexibility of the business enterprise equipment through automatic software integration, making it available for all platforms. Realtech issues update instantly without technical support. Realtech support backup and recovery procedures when a data fault occurs

Previous Approaches

In traditional computing model’s business enterprises had to purchase their hardware and software resources and allocated funds for maintenance and servicing costs. The traditional Information Technology infrastructure relies on the establishment of physical data servers and related equipment and whereby the organization employees had to connect to a particular network to access the applications, data from the organization, or to connect to the internet. This model offers a higher security layer since the hardware and software equipment are dedicated to the functioning of the housed technology. The data experts belong to the organization and can offer fine-grained attention to the transaction and events that happen within the organization. This implies a problem domain is detected and acted on a timely basis since the experts are oriented with the possible problems and solutions. The recurrent expenditure needed to maintain the security of the traditional data centers is relatively high.

The capital required to set-up the inhouse data center is immense since expensive servers and network equipment are purchased for a start (Hamza, Deogun, & Alexander, 2016). After some time, software upgrades have to be bought to foolproof the system and prevent possible bugs or sealing security patches discovered. Maintaining the salaries of IT experts and attracting new development ideas is relatively high and is coupled with overhead costs such as power consumption, since the servers need to operate full-time. Fig. 2 below indicates a steady increase in the power consumption curve over time, with the highest peak projected in 2030 with 7,933 TWh. The increase in cloud providers facilitates the purchase of more servers leading to high power consumption. Data servers implement automated running fulltime to ensure proper flow of services. This indicates that the high-power routine remains pertinent in the installation of local datacenters. (fig. 2) The image demonstrates the high rate of overhead cost: The power consumption that accounts for a significant budget allocation

The traditional IT model is susceptible to advance forms of malicious attacks interfering with the confidentiality and integrity of the data stored. These attacks have been prevalent since data breaches are propagated from inhouse with personnel with ulterior motives. Authentication facilities are not easily implemented into the data centers attributed to the high cost required for the prerequisites and total installation. Organizations suffering from data breaches, without an effective business continuity plan or disaster plan management schemes, would have little or no chances of recovering after the attack (Padilla, 2017). The alternative options were to license a third-party vendor used in the storage of backup data. This still provided a security risk since the vendors could compromise the data. Advanced encryption techniques have to be integrated into the system to secure data transfer and prevent the Man-in-the-Middle attacks.

New Findings

Realtech is radical and provides convenient data solutions to business enterprises. Realtech payment facilities are based on demand, thus enabling clients to allocate budgets more appropriately. The cloud providers undertake to oversee the effective management of service flows, leaving the organization to focus on the core duties, thus generating more revenue. Realtech allows employees separated by a significant geographical distance to communicate effectively without congested network traffic. Realtech offers specialized services tailored to meet specific brand of consumers such as hosting through virtualized technology, Customer-relationship Management (CRM), enhanced project management, and web content sharing services. Realtech private clouds allow for securely sharing sensitive documents in either dynamic technique meant for a specific project or static, which is used for long term relationships. The Cloud computing market has been growing exponentially, giving tactical advantages to the business embracing the move from traditional in-house structuring (Khasnabish et al., 2012).

Statistics indicate that there were close to 3.6 billion cloud users in 2018, and 77percent of all business enterprises have at least one application stored using cloud service (DeStefano, Kneller, & Timmis, 2020). The cloud infrastructure total revenue generated was projected at $80 billion in 2018, a surge from $55 billion in the previous year. The global cloud infrastructural market is predicted to surpass $330 billion by the end of 2020 (DeStefano, Kneller, & Timmis, 2020). Statistics indicate that a third of IT spending in business enterprises is directed towards harnessing cloud services with SaaS becoming the dominant as-a-service enterprise. The Software as a service allows for applications to be deployed in the clouds and easily accessed by remote employees and clients conveniently. It also saves on the cost that would have been used for coordinating the application servers and related equipment.

Realtech enterprise solves the problem of security by employing top-notch IT specialists in network and database security, eliminating fears arising from compromised data. Realtech provides all-time customer support distributing the platforms for reaching in case of any inquiries or reports. Realtech offers compensation schemes to any data faults or other inconveniences that may lead to the business's interruption, causing a loss of profit by the insurance companies. Applications hosted on the Realtech servers are deployed within hours from subscription time. The enterprise can dynamically upload more services to its client base with ease through the dedicated support staff.

Fig 3. below indicates the benefit that accrues Amazon web service, among the top-notch cloud providers, by maximizing client traffic and minimizing wastage level. The wastage level refers to the underutilization of server resources when they are not in use. This is common to the traditional data centers which operate in burst moment when needed leaving the servers idle most of the time. The cloud servers offer on-demand services allowing proper utilization of the servers, leaving no idle time. Customer satisfaction is higher in the cloud services due to the large variety of flexibility and customization options offered to the client. The technical details about the cloud service are abstracted by the provider improving the user's operations' interactivity.

(fig. 3) The image demonstrates the difference between traditional IT infrastructure and a cloud computing service, Amazon, which occupies most of the share markets and illustrates the high turnaround experienced.

Conclusion

Cloud computing is an innovative technology that models a utilization platform allowing the business enterprise to access data storage and computing power of remote technologies. Cloud computing saves the business enterprise the initial cost of establishing an IT infrastructure that would necessitate the purchase of hardware and software. Realtech is a firm that offers Software as a service package bundled in either public or private cloud. The traditional computing model is generally expensive and contains lots of associated overhead costs. Realtech provide adequate security implementation to counter malicious attacks through advanced encryption techniques propagated by highly qualified IT specialists.
