Numerous poetic styles are similar in the stylistic features used by the authors. The length of the poems also varies depending on the content and decision of the author to provide a brief or long analysis of a particular subject. The poems, however, have almost similar due to the way the story flows in the poems. They also have similar sounds. The authors also used numerous figures of speech. Tell All the Truth But Tell It Slant. In this particular poem, the author is brief in creating and explaining his content.

The poem has eight lines and one stanza. The word usage is minimal in the poem and the author uses few words to represent many ideas. The author also uses figurative speech to represent different ideas:  As Lightning to the Children eased (Dickinson 5). This feature enables the author to use fewer words and open stanza to effectively put across his ideas completely. The second coming. The author uses three stanzas in the whole poem. The first two stanzas are longer than the last stanza: the first two stanzas have eleven lines and the last has five lines.

The last stanza acts as the conclusion to the poem. The poem was based on the aftermath of the First World War. The author uses figurative speech to denote the experiences of the war: Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds (Butler 13). The author uses minimal symbols. He uses only end sentences punctuation. Additionally, the author does not internal styles like dialogue or monologue. The poem is like narration or storytelling based on personal experiences.
