I finished reading Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I liked the magic there too, as well as the adventures and the storytelling. I also enjoyed reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid because it was so funny and engaging.
Question 5

I am a great fan and admirer of Stephen Hawking. Even as a paralyzed man he has been able to contribute greatly to science, just relying on the brilliance of his mind. He is very much like Einstein, the great mind of our time. I find it interesting that he had been a brilliant student at Cambridge, and that at an early age, he contracted Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS. He was given small chances to live, yet here he is, advanced in years and still able to think up grand and penetrating theories about the universe. To me, this shows that genius triumphs over the physical in man. His work in physics as well as in the field called cosmology is something that is a great legacy to the world. That work has allowed us to understand the world we live in in ways that make us feel more at home in it. In this way, he makes us less afraid of the kind of world we live in because we are better able to understand how and why it works. In particular, I am fascinated by his work on black holes.

It is thrilling that even with ALS he was able to finish groundbreaking work on what has come to be known as the Hawking Radiation. That work showed that radiation was able to escape from black holes in space. That meant that we could study black holes and observe them, through the escaping radiation. To me, this shows that a person who is determined and who uses his talents to the fullest can do great things, things that have never been done before. He is an inspiration to me. To top it all, he was able to complete this stunning work on radiation and black holes when he was just 32, and he did it too even as he was being crippled by his disease. He deserves all of the honors and the fame that our society has given him (A+E Television Networks, 2012).
Question 6

My daughter is very responsible for her age, and this indicates great promise in whatever she will undertake in the future. I can rely on her to do what she promised to do and to finish the tasks she started. When she commits to doing something she follows through. I find this very heartening. Aside from that she is also very respectful. Again to me, this shows that she can appreciate other people, especially those who are older than her. She shows that she appreciates the wisdom of her parents for instance. She also gives other people their due respect.
Question 7

My daughter is very much ready for different challenges. Read More
