Similarly, the following chapter deals with the need of free-trade relations among world nations, disregarding political manipulation. Here, the author pinpoints the importance of openness, disregarding short-term losses faced by some nations. In the following chapter, the author examines the effect of the financial crisis on the smooth functioning of the concept of a global market. Within this scenario, the author compares the flow of money from one nation to another to a river. To be specific, the flow must be controlled because it can become dangerous.

In addition, the world nations must be ready to learn from economic crises. If not, economic recovery may become a tiresome effort, with the less positive output. The author concludes his work by examining the role of BRICs within the global economy. To be specific, the author feels positive about the role of this group of nations within the global context. Analysis: One can see that the author’s ideas revolve around the current progress and benefits of globalization, and the future expectations on the same.

Michael Mandelbaum stated that “Globalization will endure, but not without challenges, complications, and potential pitfalls, all of them rooted in politics” (xxi). Within this scenario, the author thoroughly examines the benefits of the concept of a global trade-zone, without any limitation. Besides, the free trade can stimulate the market by introducing new products to the international market.
