I feel there is a gender discrimination among my friends and family members. I tend to share more issues with my female friends and relatives. The gender disclosure is prevalent primarily due to a few reasons. Females are active listeners and it is for this reason that I cannot open up to my male friends as freely as I do with my female friends. Also, I feel that male friends can be judgmental sometimes and apply more logical reasoning. A taboo exists in the society that issues of men and women are different and their understanding level is different.

This has led to gender disclosure.Q 2. During my life, I have had a few incidents which have embarrassed me. One incident which has left a great impact when my embarrassment led me to lose face. During my school life, I had a mathematics teacher who was very strict. She did not allow speaking in class or late submission of homework in class. My friends and I disliked her because she gave a lot of homework and she had a lot of modes of punishing students. Even though we disliked the way she treated us, but none of us dared to speak a word against her.

One fine day after our mathematics class ended, my friends and I were in the lobby saying mean things about the mathematics teacher. Out of the lot, I was the most vocal and was heavily criticizing how the teacher treated us and how she should not punish us. All of a sudden I felt a pat on my bag and when I turned around, I was surprised that our mathematics teacher was standing there and smiling. That was the moment when I lost face and was humiliated.That day I came home feeling very low. My mother asked me what was wrong and I explained everything to her.

My mother gave me amazing advice telling me that our teachers are like our parents and even if they are punishing us, it is for our betterment. So the next day I took a sorry card and some cupcakes to my teacher.
