Thus, I have learnt that organisations need to understand variables which constitute their employees behaviour such as personal values, attitudes, peceptions, and personalities. In this paper am to reflect about these variables and the way they have impacted on interpersonal ,my role as team member and leader and finally in my professionalism. Understanding organisational behaviour has revealed the extent to which my personal values contribute to the over all performance and success of an organisation am affiliated to.

The reason being that they are vital to an organisation in knowing their employees personality, motivations, attitudes and personalities. It is of paramount importance that always I should understand and conform to general accepted organisational values so as to avoid the scenaro wherby my personal values cloud objectivity and rationality as an employee in an organisation. This will tend to boost my job satisfacrion and performance. Finally, by attending the organisational behaviour class I have learned of seven levels of values which include reactive, tribaistic, egocentric, conformist, manipulative, socio-centric and existential re.

My level is socio-centric as I get along with others and am against conformity and manipulation. In addition, I have come to realize that values have an important role in motivating behaviours and are the pillars upon which we make and evaluate decisions. I have learned that my attitude which refers to my beliefs and feelings while in an rganisation matters a lot as they determine behaviour and ultimately the organisation behaviour. Studying organisational behaviour has led to my understanding that attitude comprises of three parts the affective, cognitive and intentional components.

I understand that affective component relates to my emotional part of an attitude, cognitive component relates to thoughts probably based on knowledge and experience I have while intentional component refers to my precondition to act. The most important attitude that I can develop is one relating to job satisfaction , organisational committment and job involvement . These attitudes unlike attitudes of job disatisfaction may be helpful in my career advancement and relating well in organisations (Fox pp. 54-61). I have also learnt the value of my perceptions towards the personal behaviour and overly the organisational behaviour of an organisation.

These perceptions and personalities are fundamental in group and team cohension which influences the effectiveness, efficiency and performance of an organisation. I have learnt of the four personality attributes which include locus of control, authoritarianism, machiavelianism and risk propensity which are relevant in determining organisational behaviour. It is vital for managers so as to effectively manage organisations to understand their employees perceptions and personalities so as to enhance the compatibility of them in the organisations.

I now know that all these attributes i.e. attitudes, personality, values and perceptions are vital in the selection of employees of an organisation (Fox pp. 54-61). Through Organisational behaviour class I have learnt how to improve communications, make competing decisions. This has made my interpersonal relationships to be more effective to the point htat I feel good about my job and
