Leadership and decision making for Managers Task Analyse the impact of organisational objectives, values and culture on the leadership and management role. Organizational Objectives are simply the goals set for a particular business or an organization. They actually define the expectations or targets that the business is set to achieve in order to fulfil its aims. In most cases they are normally derived from the aims of the organisation. Well stipulate objectives are significant in that they will assist the organisations clarity of its expected achievements, the assessment of the business can also be based on how best it achieves its objectives. Objectives can be categorised either as short term objectives which are operational in nature or long term objectives which are strategic and affect the entire organisation. Organisational values and culture are interlinked in that they define the moral standards and habits an organisation maintains in its daily fulfilment of services and interactions with the entire public. They are beliefs that the organisation has set and their manifestation should automatically define them from other organisations (Owen, 2012). Organizational objectives, values and culture have a basic impact towards the leadership and management role in that objectives clearly define the size and the status of the organization and the influence the stakeholders have on the management of the organizations. The long term and short term objectives helps the organization leaders to set plans with guidelines that are coherent with what is expected to be achieved within a particular time. The external and internal pressures that are sometimes felt by the leadership can be naturalized through the referral to the set objectives while maintaining the organization’s culture. This in turn reduces the amount of risk a leader can take in his /her fulfilment of the managerial decisions as the objective makes them accountable. The values and culture of the organization acts as a guideline of how ethically the workers, customers, shareholders are to be treated (Owen, 2012).
