The paper “Measuring and Managing Marketing and Performance of Employee Development” is a thoughtful example of a management assignment. The two companies that I have selected are Morrisons Supermarket and Apple Inc. A proper and efficient marketing strategy contributes to the financial success of a company. I consider that a marketing manager should have the ability to establish relationships with customers that will prove beneficial to the company. He should learn to assess the demands of the customers and accordingly communicate and deliver goods and services to the customers.

In the era of digital technology, consumers can easily access various sites to compare prices and quality of goods, therefore I feel a marketing strategy must include advertisements that provide messages that are true to the nature and quality of the product or service. The primary element is to develop plans to learn the market trends and observe the competition. To implement such plans is “both an art and a science” (Kotler & Keller, 24). I think it is the responsibility of a firm to keep its marketing managers continuously informed to facilitate them while developing and implementing marketing decisions.

Marketing managers can analyze problems by constant knowledge of current sales, costs, and inventory levels. This will help them to create strategies accordingly. The principal objective of marketing is to increase sales by attracting customers through advertisements and other promotional strategies.Morrisons, the fourth largest supermarket in the UK, focuses on giving quality food and groceries to the customers at a moderate price. The company is known for providing fresh food at the best value which is prepared in-store by experts.

Since the food is prepared by the company’s own manufacturers, therefore it is possible for them to ensure the best quality food products. Since Morrisons can keep the price of its products reasonable, therefore it is possible for the company to capture a large share of the market. Marketing strategy means creating an added advantage over competitors. Unlike its closest competitors like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda, Morrisons can ensure fresh quality to customers because of its in-store production capacity.

The price of products also determines marketing techniques.
