Another area that this author capitalizes on is the role of politics in shaping both the administrator and their role. The above named key points will be explored through comparison with the article, Safeguarding the Public Trust: Can Administrative ethics be taught? ( Kennedy & Malatesta, 2009)Explores the same issues and how they can be implemented on safeguarding the public trust fund.

There are various issues that have brought about changes in modern governance and the ethical decision-making process. The article further explores the objective as outlined in the Masters of Public Administration (MPA). Trust in the government or lack of it has been a hot research topic in the modern world. This has been so due to the enlightenment that society has been exposed to. The public has gone to take measures through various rights groups that keep the government of the day on its toes.

The government has been necessitated to rely heavily on public offices through different agencies good example being the Food and Drug Agency (FDA). As such the offices in these agencies are expected to work as per the law and they are also expected to make good and sound judgments that require ethics and morality. In addition, the approach taken by this article on the ethical issues focuses on the modern challenges that are related to the changing nature of governance. A good example is the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).

These ASPA codes implicitly commit public administrators to adjust their scopes of decision making in a manner that portrays the dynamic nature of the public. Moreover, the administrators are expected to consider the effects of a modern society population that is on the increase ( Kennedy & Malatesta, 2009) The article further evaluates the ethics that helps shape an attitude of moral ethics among the public administrators. This is in line with the American constitution as well as with the ASPA code of 2009.

In addition, the journal touches on Governing and Leading in a Global Society that outlines the general ethics that a public administrator is expected to abide by. All these issues in this article are in line with the Copper book and lesson on public administrators. Further, the article has revealed that the above three key points exposed by Copper are not exhaustive ( Kennedy & Malatesta, 2009)The article has revealed that there are also personal judgments that are expected to be applied by any public officer while delivering their duties.

Moreover, the incorporation of the constitution and the ASPA codes in this article gives the deep need for abiding by these ethical codes. As such these additional key points will help one to get a better understanding and the implications that a public officer will face in the case that they act unethically during their course of business.
