"Depression during Covid 19 Lockdown" is a wonderful example of a paper on depression.

Depression is the most common mental disorder across the globe; it is recorded as a situation that is more than sadness. People with depression may experience insufficient pleasure in their daily activities, lack of interest, weight loss in others, weight gain on others, excessive sleep, lack of energy, and worthlessness (Wang and Cuiyan, 1729). People with depression can end up having suicide or having a stroke, leading to heart failure, leading to death. During the coronavirus period, the research shows that many people in the world are passing the challenge of depression. The researchers found that people cannot satisfy their daily needs because they do not have enough money to sustain themselves (Sood and Sadhika, 26).

The coronavirus pandemic has caused depression among many people after the lockdown was induced in many countries. People feel lonely in their homes, with a lot of anxiety, and economic uncertainty recorded as the significant thing that has caused the depression this time (Sood and Sadhika, 24). Many people feel overwhelmed, and they have lost hope in life because of the depression, which has interfered with the ability to think well, drain of energy that makes it challenging to get the day-to-day needs. This time of lockdown in significant parts of the world, people encounter loneliness; they have negative thoughts, worrying about their jobs, money, and health hence leading to a lot of mental strain and consequently depression.

The research shows that people from a humble background are at high risk of getting depression during this Covid 19 outbreak in the world. There are lower levels of happiness and life satisfaction among the people, and they end up thinking a lot about what they will consume to satisfy their needs (Wang and Cuiyan, 1729). Many people have not used to staying indoors and idle; they have used to going for jobs and interacting with other people along with the workplaces. The situation has caused many people to have depression and others getting sick because of being hopeless in life. The research also indicates that people of poor backgrounds are the ones leading with depression at home. Their depression is always caused by more worry about unemployment and financial stress; they also think about where they will access the food and the consequences of contracting coronavirus disease.

The psychological concept related to depression during the Covid 19 lockdown in the world is the cognitive approach. This approach focuses on people’s beliefs rather than their behavior. The cognitive approach assumed that changes in thinking lead to the onset of depressed mood. The strategy indicates that when people stay for a long time in their homes without getting people to talk to, they end up having depressions. Due to the situation of lockdown across the world, people feel lonely in their houses, and they have no one to share the problem too because every person is in their various homes (Tremblay and Sébastien). Relating this cognitive approach with the situation, you get that many people get solutions to their problems when they share with other people, but because of the coronavirus pandemic that has led to the lockdown, many people get depressed because of the changes they get. The changes in behavior come as a result of staying lonely in the house and having no want to make you smile. Many have used to meeting with other people and sharing their problems, they smile, and when they return to their homes in the evening, they are happy.

One of the significant cognitive theorists, Aaron Beck, studied people suffering from depression and found that they negatively take everything. According to him, depressed individuals tend to view themselves as worthless, helpless, and inadequate in society. They see the future as very hopeless because their situation will prevent them from achieving what they intend to accomplish in their lives (Tremblay and Sébastien). The lockdown that has been put in place because of Covid 19 has caused many people to change their way of thinking and living, and it has led to a lot of mental health challenges as a result of depression. The cognitive approach concept has a great relationship with depression during the coronavirus lockdown. The changes in the behavior that come as a result of the restriction of movement and hugging out with other people have caused many challenges. Many psychologists are needed to help people overcome this condition.

The lesson drawn from the above concept is that people should learn to adapt to the entire environment, and they must be ready when the worst thing like coronavirus comes. Depression occurs due to worrying and thinking a lot over something, so people should learn to regulate how they feel and how helpful it will be to them when they stop thinking a lot. When you feel depressed, do something that you know it will remove you from that situation to avoid having a lot of problems in the future.

In conclusion, the depression during Covid 19 lockdown across the world has increased at a high rate because people think a lot and worry more about what will happen next. People should understand that this lockdown is for a season to get rid of this disease, and they should accept the situation to reduce the harm that they cause to their lives.
