"SWOTT Analysis and Organization Basics" is a perfect example of a paper on the health system. Atrium Health, formerly known as the Charlotte Memorial Hospital, was founded in 1940 as a healthcare institution. Since then, the organization has grown significantly with over forty hospitals across different locations in America. Atrium Health is focused on connecting its customers with various on-demand services such as specialists. The services provided by Atrium Health range from hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, nursing homes, home health care, physicians’ practices to the academic medical center.

The organization is driven by its willingness to accommodate society's needs by providing quality and innovative services across adverse care networks. The organization's success can be attributed to the strong leadership that the company has held since its beginning (Atrium Health, 2020). In administration, the organization has made sure that they maintain a good relationship between their employees and a good relationship with their customers. In making sure their customers are satisfied, they have prioritized safety by reducing events that may cause harm and unplanned readmission, most specifically for antibiotics.

The other crucial detail that has seen the organization gain popularity is its ability to include different cultures into its system. This practice has seen they serve customers from diverse communities with ease. Making their practices, a patient-centered program has given its customers confidence in the products and services offered hence the growth that has seen over nine hundred physical care networks. The organization also provides emergency responses in the community. For instance, in case of fire or an infectious disease outbreak, the organization is well equipped to handle such situations.

In this attempt, there is a whole unit dedicated to emergencies, which provided the community with resources in case they become limited. Essentially, the organization's primary goal is to provide a better society through the provision of health care services.SWOTT Analysis Strength  The organization has a vast network as it has over 40 physical locations and provides a variety of products and services across North and South Carolina. Offering a range of services and products has led to the company being popular across America.

 Customer satisfaction is a priority for this organization. This factor can be seen with their efforts to reduce harmful events, especially in the intake of antibiotics. The quality of the services offered through the various centers is top-notch. The inclusion of different cultures in the institution has helped customers gain confidence, which is a stronghold for this organization.  The level of preparedness to deal with disasters is a strength for this organization as they have a center solemnly dedicated to emergencies.

 Prioritizing innovations in healthcare has also made the institution grow and improve over the years.  Has a world-class medical professional on board, which has seen the number of visits increase.Weaknesses  More attention has been given to the executives more than the other employees. That is, the rise in wages for employees made in 2019 is small compared to what the highest executive gets (Smoot, 2020). That is, there is a need for more motivation for employees.Opportunities  The Introducing new products in the market.

 Prioritizing innovation of healthcare products through technology to help in solving medical problems more efficiently. Threats  Upcoming healthcare organizations are a threat to the market share. Trends  As of 2019, the companies operating income was $284 million which was an increase.  The number of visits increased from 5.9 million to 6.3 million in 2019 (Smoot, 2020).The main competitors for Atrium Health are other healthcare organizations such as Carolinas Medical Center, Indianan University Health, United Regionals, and North Bay Health care.

NorthBay HealthCare had an income of $590 million with about 2700 employees. Indiana University Health has 25,927 employees with an income of $2 billion. The way the two competitors generate income is different from how Atrium Health generates its income. The amount of revenue will likely affect the long trend of Atrium hence the need to develop systems that will enable the company to generate more income as this is needed to ensure the institution is running smoothly.Atrium Health’s mission statement is “To improve health, elevate hope and advance healing – for all.

” The mission makes it clear that they intend to provide health services and provide healing and hope for its customer base. The mission statement also highlights how they measure their success that is if they give their customers hope and advanced healing then they are satisfied. However, the statement does not specify who its customers are and it does not specify they provide their services. The most appropriate mission statement for the company would be “To provide our patients in society with top-notch healthcare services through inclusion of safe medical practice.

” I believe the renewed mission statement clearly illustrates the important parts of the organization. At a glance, a person can tell who the customers of this organization are and where they are located. In addition, what the institution provides and how they provide it is clear. The statement stands out as it explains to an audience what goes on in the institution.
