"Barriers to Implementation of EBP" is a wonderful example of a paper on the health system. Evidence-based practice is desirable for any healthcare institution that intends to achieve desirable outcomes for patients. However, this process is bound to face challenges that possibly can be overcome. First, organizational resistance to change would be a significant stumbling block since most workers would seem conservative about what is usually the norm. Lack of awareness, knowledge, and skills about EBP are potentially harmful to successful incorporation into the organization (Alatawi et al., 2020). Further, organizations need to invest resources to witness success with EBP and, therefore, lack of resource investment would hurt the implementation of EBP. There is also a lack of adequate time allocated towards an understanding of what EBP entails.

The barriers to EBP implementation can easily be overcome in several ways. First, it is important to be aware of the barriers and how they hinder the implementation of EBP. Proper assessment and identification give room for designing an action plan; for instance, focus groups are involved in communication and incorporate culture and belief change. Besides, stakeholder involvement should also be considered since it makes it possible to build trust and enable learning from their experience, and therefore provide input into the project. Stakeholders are also vital in helping to identify the potential outcomes of a project. Stakeholders’ buy-in into the project helps in planning for the project and, therefore, successful implementation. Similarly, adequate administrative support is essential to the success of the evidence-based practice. The administration is a contributor to the change of culture to enable the implementation of EBP.
