"What’s So Great About Organic Food?" is an outstanding example of a paper on food and nutrition.
More and more people are starting to eat organically grown food or trying to grow organic food. Although organic food can help clean a person’s body and save the environment, the majority of consumers have yet to prefer organic food because it is costly and not readily available. Because of this, I think switching to an organic lifestyle is not worth all the hype.

The push to grow and eat organic foods has become more fervent in recent years. Research has shown that the non-use of pesticides in growing organic foods has resulted in healthier crops and meat. Cows fed with grass were shown to have more omega-3 fatty acids supposed to lessen the risk of cancer, heart disease, and arthritis, than those fed at a feedlot (Kluger, 2010). Another good thing about growing organic food is that it helps keep the environment clean. The habitats of helpful insects and animals are maintained because harmful chemicals and pesticides are not used anymore.

On the other hand, organic foods are still not very popular because they are expensive. Only a small number of farmers grow crops naturally. Thus, even if there is a demand for these foods, there is only minimal supply. Hand in hand with this disadvantage is that supply is not readily available in the market. The process of growing these foods is natural, so it takes longer to get the foods on the market.

Indeed, it would be ideal for people to eat organically grown foods because of the benefits derived from them. A cleaner planet for healthy individuals does sound nice. However, because there are also negative points to consider, it may take longer for this scenario to happen. Moreover, I think people are so set in their ways when it comes to eating that it would take years for everyone to truly adapt to an organic lifestyle.
