Incredible work has been done by the thinkers to frame various s of ethics in all spheres of life but these have been taken up as mere preaching and discussions. The codes of ethics are basis for discipline and not proceedings, but the results are alluding even at school level. So what are the issuesAccording to Dan Rather "The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth." Remember "Habitual is tiring and boring, Hobbytual is exciting and enjoying". Forced! It does not work.

A peaceful mind is the first requisite in any endeavor. The tendency of the mind is to wander. The mind has to be kept under intellectual supervision but that is possible only through inducing the right assessment of priorities. Mind reacts to the stimuli from the world, and responds accordingly, but a preoccupied mind leads to a confused response. The first priority of teacher should be to enhance mind concentration or availability to draw the attention totally and completely.Where is the room of any doubt for the one who is convinced that the task is within his capacity This should be the essence of very education.

A conducive environment must be created by the educator to build high self confidence and high self esteem within students.Attitude makes the difference. The educator should become a source of positive attitude for the students. Louis A. Berman said "A good teacher is a master of simplification and an enemy of simplism". A educator must promote simple living but high thinking attitude. This greatly helps in intellectual development which in turn will do.According to William Arthur Ward "The mediocre teacher tells.

The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires". An educator has to lead by example. One has to act than to lecture. Student can not stretch to the level of teacher but it is not vice versa! A healthy interaction can take place at same frequency of mind and the educator should play the role accordingly. An ideal educator may be cruel to be kind only. One may externally be rigid to follow the doe's and don'ts but should be realistic. The deep rooted negativity in the students should be replaced by regularly applying the positivity.

There should be constant hammering on the mind of students to remove any fear psychosis and any fear of failure and the spontaneity should not be allowed to compromise at all.Sharp communication skills are a must for educator to get the optimum results. The ideas should be conveyed in simplest form but in the way that they hit the target. Alexander said "I am indebted to my father for my living but to my teacher for living well". The tips from and to the parents must play an important role to build the character of a student.

A sincere educator plus alert parent equals a firm foundation for the student. There should be a regular dialogue to harmonize the mutual relationships. The beneficiary is the student. The minimum results expected from schooling is the betterment of the society and not otherwise. The basic ethics should be initiated in the very beginning because they can not be inculcated at a later stage. It is the educator only who can advance the intellectual and ethical foundation of learning society.References Alexander The Great.
