Getting admission into the University of Michigan has always been my greatest dream. Coming from Chinese origin, I knew that America is a land of opportunities and pursuing higher education from prestigious academia like this education would greatly facilitate in realizing my dreams of becoming a successful professional in the field of business management. The university is renowned for its high ethical and value-added mission of dispersing education to a diversified community. Its academic advancements are based on intrinsic human values which promote the cause of social justice, environment conservation and self-respect. Few of my friends were already studying here and they had extolled the high standard of education, so of course, it became my objective to seek admission to this prestigious University.
I belong to a family of professionals who had come to America, six years back, when I was merely 11 years old. Our family places great importance on education and was extremely supportive during my early school days when the language barrier had made my education a big challenge. One of the teachers had become my guide and mentor who had taught me to overcome adversities with courage and a positive attitude. I had learnt from him that understanding cross-cultural values needs to be adapted into our lifestyle for a better outcome, both in our professional and personal life. Read More
