(Coe, 2003) In specific, the case study for this paper is the Royal Mail that is the national postal service of the United Kingdom, which is one of the oldest and biggest companies of the region. The study will try to identify, discuss, and analyze mission statement, as well as, primary and secondary objectives that have been achieved by the company in the past few years. In specific, history of the Royal Mail, its business services, marketing strategies, working style, fleet, and particularly, its competitors will be studied and analyzed during the research.

It is very important that business services of the Royal Mail should be studied during the study, which will facilitate the creation of efficient recommendations related to the working of company. (Timm, 1994) In brief, the study expects to acquire a detailed understanding of the business services of the Royal Mail, as compared to its competitors in the similar market, which has resulted in huge competition in the UK market. Until now, the proposal has briefly described the aims and objectives of the research study.

Now, the paper will try to discuss some of the facts related to the Royal Mail, which has already been identified by other sources previously. As earlier mentioned in the paper, the national postal service of the United Kingdom is referred as the Royal Mail. Historically, the UK government used to manage the Royal Mail delivery business service, as it was a part of the General Post Office; however, in the year 1969, the federally owned post office was modified into a state-owned corporation. Later, in the year 2000, Her Majesty’s Government owned this public limited company.
