World war 2 was started in 1939 and ended in 1945. This duration was the duration of mass destruction of cities and caused death of million of innocent civilians and the soldiers of many countries. World war 2 was the result of conflict between Allied powers and Axis powers.Both these powers comprised of total 70 nations.

Major allied powers were Union of Soviet Socialist Republic, United kingdom, United States, China and France and the Axis powers were Germany, Japan and Italy. In Europe German invasion of Poland was the main cause of war and in Asia Japan attacked on China, the United States and the British and Dutch.The major control of Germany was in the hand of Adolf Hitler. He was the leader of Nazi party. He conquered the lands of Germany and defeated Poland.

This proved to break out war against Germany and slowly nearly whole world indulged into it. In world war 2 more than 63 million people of allied and axis powers were died. This death figure included 24 million soldiers and 38 million civilians in which 90% civilians were from allied nations. Allied nations defeated the axis powers and this was the end of war. The major destruction in this war caused to Allied nation people.

Death figure of civilians are given which shows the deadliness of world war 2.Around 11.7 million civilian died in Soviet Union, 7 million in China, 5.2 million in Poland, 2 million in Germany and 0.6 million in Japan. 5 million European Jews died due to genocide. In world war two many new weapons like atomic bombs, missiles, fighter planes, biochemical bombs were invented which caused to mass destruction and genetic disorders.

Due to destruction of cities so many people lost there houses as the result of this mass dislocation refugees produced.In China approximate 60 million people were suffering from this problem. Economy of nations damaged and poverty spread out. So all the powers who involved in the world war two were damaged each others cities, economies and killed the civilians. The aftermath of war was more dangerous. People were dying of starvation.

The crime was increasing because of poverty and unemployment. The treasuries of countries were emptied in war and purchasing weapons and other natural resources. The people were in great depression and the economy was falling down. This had a huge effect on social part. Women participated in workforce to earn their livelihood. The women and girls became victim of rape of the moving armies. The figure was more than 2,00,000. This made a difference in the views of men and women regarding sex.

The physical and mental abasements of children was also caused by these armies. This war proved to be a big trauma among the participating countries. The people of this duration never recovered from those experiences and they were called as lost generation. The reforms against government and processions were also carried out. The capitalism and imperialism was totally ended. The people at last lost the image of the world that they had before and never came up with that depression.
