As the Premier sponsors of the Special Olympics, Irlenad, Eircom has been associated since 1985 and has been providing services both in cash and kind. Eircom is the major supplier of fixed-line telecommunications services in Ireland with around 2.6 million fixed-line telephone access channels. Also, the company is the proprietary sponsor of the following programmes which promote training, delegations, summits and conferences for the team Ireland, any type of volunteer programmes, and the Torch Run. Also, the company provides assistance to the Specail Olympic Games in the form of kind services and various products like telephone and broadband, staff, work experience placements for games participants and offering working space in the company’s head office.
